Hey look guys! A FAQ

1. How do you know Japanese?
   I studied five years of the language through middle school and high school. I grew up in a very diverse part of the United States and so my school/school system had a wide variety of languages that we could study 100% free. I choose Japanese because I was a total dork at the time. Also because I studied it in high school and spent two years between high school and beginning this blog my language skills got rather rusty.
2. Why didn’t you translate my request?
   There are a number of reasons why, the first one being if it was a weight loss ad/work out or weight loss tutorial. I don not approve of the majority of fashion magazine’s (Japanese, American, whatever) methods of weight loss because they are either stupid and a waste of time or totally unhealthy. And as a person who had/has weight problems for a good chunk of their life I know that such magazines are a bad choice. Better options would be to seek the help of a doctor or other medical professional. The other being if your scan had bad resolution and you nor I have any idea what magazine and what issue it came from. If the resolution is crappy then I can’t see all of the characters I need to be able to see.
3. Do you translate from/into  _________ Language?
   Nope. Basically I am only comfortable with Japanese and English. I’m a native English speaker and took enough formal lessons of Japanese that I can do those two. The only other language I feel okay with is a dead language… I mean I COULD do a tutorial in Latin, though it would purely be for shits and giggles. It’s been like 15+ years since I was in a German class and I would rather not embarrass myself. Well I will admit that this could all change though, I love languages and want to learn many more.
